Knitting is a way of life!
I was a child of 8 when we, my parents and sister, moved to Australia and what an adventure….meeting my maternal grandfather’s brothers and sisters and their families, making new friends and learning the art of knitting. I knit everywhere! My lifelong journey in the world of knitting had begun. And I still knit everywhere and almost every day!
My passion for knitting has opened up many doors…teaching at the Adult School; owning a retail business that served the needlearts. serving the knitting and crocheting community; creating the Skein Lane community; continuing with the Skein Lane Studio for teaching and special orders for yarns; an eBay presence, and now – finally – an official blog. But most importantly, this passion for knitting has introduced me to so many wonderful people and ultimately friends.
I have many other passions: family and family history, friends, pets, gardening, the outdoors, horseback riding, traveling….really there isn’t much I don’t like to do…well I don’t like TV much! The world is full of so many possibilities.
I invite you to visit my Skeinlane Lane Studio website where you can learn about class offerings and events, customer projects, etc.
