The pattern is adapted from “Baby Afghan” – project #2 in the “Knitting Basics” book by Betty Barnden (Quarto 2002).  The yarn is worsted, machine washable Berroco Pure Merino(the color is “Glacier” but that may be discontinued now – the closest is “Bluebell”). Note: Pure Merino available through Skein Lane Studio.

Jan and her yarn love affair ..it was angora!

Marlee and Mimi have such wonderful yarns to offer. And most of us walk with a yarn or more purchased. Jan had an immediate love affair. And seeing Jan, don’t you just want to jump into this photo with her.

And then there was Diana….she came as a guest of her sister Karen….who wanted to share the weekend with her. Diana was not a knitter when she arrived on Friday evening. Before the evening was over she had purchased yarn for 5 projects, wound yarn and started knitting later that evening.

It’s Halloween!

It's Halloween

Oh….that Friday knitting group….what a hoot they are (in so many ways I might add).

First Barbara arrives donned in jester hat and mask….then I remember it’s Halloween! Barbara is followed by Jan who arrives with a boa and her cat glasses…..she brought the boa for the Purl girl Kimberly.Barbara and Jan
