There is a wonderful article on the TKGA (The Knitting Guild of America) website about Knitting History and TKGA History. I met Barbara years ago when I attended one of the first Stitches West Conventions which was held in Portland, OR. We were passengers on the same shuttle from the airport to the hotel … I was in awe to be surrounded by a group of knitting teachers…and Barbara was one of those teachers. A few years later Jean came to one of the Skein Lane workshops with her guest – Barbara Scott. A small world…and great to connect with Barbara again. Over the years Barbara pops in to the knitting workshops when she and Jean have a “rendevous” in the Bay Area.
