Update to this morning’s post…..I don’t know quite how I did it but I wrote content and deleted it….best part is that I didn’t realize it until I checked back later in the day.
So here goes again. Our Saturday Knit Group likes to celebrate the season with a potluck and sixteen of us gathered to do just that. This group really likes to cook…..some of the great dishes included: two egg casseroles; roasted cauliflower; stewed fruit; a fruit bowl; scones (gluten-free and who would know the difference…they were delicious); baked oatmeal with syrup, brown sugar, cream, and/or butter (my traditional offering); salt & pepper chips with clam dip; cheeses and baguette; desserts galore – brownies w/mint and some whiskey; chocolate cake; chocolates, peanut brittle, tart and more; and drinks – eggnog with our without rum, juices and sparkling waters.
We missed Reiko who was traveling as well as those who have been absent from the knitting table for a while.
My photo skills were not so hot …. several photos that I thought I took were not on the camera. But I dived into the archive of photos and have a shot (taken sometime) of everyone who gathered to celebrate friendship and good cheer! We were delighted that Susanne popped in….she was a regular before she and her husband retired to Chico two or three years ago.
Cheers to all!
